Many of you are already aware that I now have downloadable versions of each of my dulcimer tab books here on my web site. These digitized books are exactly like my paper books with the only difference being that you can instantly download them to your computer, iPad or tablet in the form of a PDF file. You can then view and/or print them directly from your device using Adobe Reader. In the process, you will save money on shipping and have a permanent copy stored on your hard drive for future use.

This is a great alternative to traditional paper books. Print only the tabs you want to learn and arrange them in any order you wish. If you lose or damage your paper copy, simply print yourself a replacement.

I have now begun the process of uploading individual audio tracks from my dulcimer CDs for you to purchase and listen to. It's sort of like having my own miniature iTunes store. It's a slow process but I hope to eventually have all of my music available for you to listen to.

Click on the MUSIC STORE tab above for more detailed info on my tab books and music downloads.

You are listening to a 1994 recording of my "September On The Mississippi." You can find the recording and tab book for this song by visiting the MUSIC STORE.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

I'm excited to announce that I have just completed work on my newest tab book "Hymns, Spirituals & Sacred Songs." This is a collection of 28 familiar hymn tunes in DAD tuning available as a "paperless book" on CD. It is perfect for the advancing beginner and intermediate level player. The disc serves two purposes - First, insert it into your computer and print yourself a copy of the tab you want to learn from the list of PDF files. Then, treat the disc as you would any normal audio CD and listen to demo versions of each song as you learn them.

  • Print only the tabs you want to learn
  • Compile them in any order you choose
  • Save storage space
  • Print replacement copies from the CD when needed

A complete list of song titles is listed with the product. Just click on the MUSIC STORE link and follow it to BOOKS ON CD.

I am regularly adding new sheet music titles to my STORE. The latest additions include arrangements of Stephen Foster's Beautiful Dreamer in both solo and duet versions, an arrangement of Dixie and a four part ensemble arrangement of We Three Kings that I call We Four Kings becasue I have tabbed it in 4/4 time.

For those of you who are Everly Brothers fans, I have duet arrangements of Wake Up Little Susie, Love Hurts, All I Have To Do Is Dream, Devoted To You, Brand New Heartache and Bye Bye Love available in the POPULAR section of SHEET MUSIC STORE. These arrangements are made possible through a special arrangement with House of Bryant Publications.

The download process is very user-friendly. Simply set up an account here at and use your credit card to purchase the titles you want to download. The arrangements are available immediately, right here on the site, after the purchase is completed.

Over the past couple of years, I have been releasing my newest dulcimer books in a unique way - as Books on CD. These "paperless books" make it easy for the customer to print their own copy of the tab from the CD by simply inserting the disc into their computer and selecting the PDF file that they want to print.

Books on CD have several advantages over traditional paper books  -  Choose only the tabs you want to play  -  Compile them in any order you wish  -  If you lose or damage your paper copy, simply print another copy from the CD  -  In addition, the disc acts as a traditional audio CD, which means that you can insert it into any CD player and listen to demo versions of each song included in the collection.

The Books on CD idea is a clever way to deliver the same high quality tab arrangements that are found in my older books, give the customer more options and avoid the mountains of paper inventory associated with traditional printed books.

A complete list of titles that are available on CD can be found by clicking on the MUSIC STORE tab above and then clicking on BOOKS ON CD.
