About the Enhanced CDs - These tune collections are "paperless" tab books for mountain dulcimer. Each "enhanced" CD includes audio files that can be played on any CD player plus PDF tab files suitable for printing from any computer using Adobe Reader. Simply insert the CD into your computer, select the tune you want to learn, open it up with Adobe Reader and print yourself a copy! Then, place the CD in any CD player and listen to demo versions of each tune included in the collection. It couldn't be easier!

A great way to compile your own favorites into a playlist in any order you choose.

Avoid turning pages in a book in order to find the tunes you want to play * Lost or damaged tabs can be replaced by printing another copy from the CD.

About The Arrangements

Two types of books on CD are listed here. The folios are multiple part arrangements for dulcimer ensembles while the other listings are arranged for solo mountain dulcimer. Each arrangement is typeset in easy to read tablature form. Rehearsal numbers and guitar accompaniment chords are also included. All arrangements are geared toward the intermediate level mountain dulcimer player unless otherwise noted. The CDs provide demo performances of each tune. The ensemble folios contain a rehearsal tracks for each part, complete with a metronome sounding in the background. A conductor's score is provided for the ensemble folios as well as separate individual parts for each player. Everything needed for multiple players to learn the tunes is included in the folios.

NOTE FOR THREE PART ENSEMBLE ARRANGEMENTS: the standard mountain dulcimer is always tuned D-A-D and the Ginger G-D-G while the baritone is tuned either G-D-G or A-E-A depending on the song.
