Conger's Tune of the Month CD series is a subscription based
"Listen & Learn" CD designed to help students learn various
skills and techniques on the mountain dulcimer when no
instructor is present. Larry has designed the CDs to be
extremely user-friendly. Subscribers receive one CD per month
containing a tune selected by Larry, along with written
tablature. Each track of the CD takes the student through the
tune, step by step, one phrase at a time ... first at a slow
tempo and then gradually increasing the speed. The series is a
great way for the dulcimer enthusiast to learn skills and
techniques while adding new tunes to his/her repertoire.ADVANTAGES 1. Work at your own pace. 2. Learn at your convenience, day or night. 3. Listen as many times as necessary. 4. Get helpful tips each month on rhythm, fingering, practicing, etc. from a National Mountain Dulcimer Champion. 5. Add tunes to your repertoire once a month. 6. It's almost like having the instructor at your disposal 24 hours a day! HOW IT WORKS Once a month, subscribers will receive one CD, along with written tablature. The subscriber's account is then billed using the method they have selected. All students in the program will receive the same CD. A different musical category will be presented each month i.e. hymns, jigs, waltzes, fiddle tunes, seasonal tunes, etc. Larry will choose the selections and gear the lesson toward the advancing beginner and progress into a more intermediate level instruction, teaching techniques and concepts as he teaches the tune itself.
