September On The Mississippi

The perfect balance of instruction, performance opportunities, great food, sightseeing and fellowship, this retreat offers it all!

Hosted by Elaine and Larry Conger, the event is designed to assess your shortcomings, develop and hone your playing skills while learning some great new arrangements on the mountain dulcimer.

The host hotel for the weekend will be the Natchez Grand Hotel, located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River in downtown Natchez. Mississippi

The workshops will be geared toward the intermediate level mountain dulcimer player.  A general knowledge of chord-melody style, tab reading skills, rhythm skills and three finger chords will be useful.

All instructional materials (packaged as a full color souvenir tab book) and MP3 audio demos will be provided.  Refreshments will also be made available throughout the weekend.

Hotel reservations should be made separately by contacting the Natchez Grand Hotel at 601-446-9994.  Be sure to mention September On The Mississippi to receive a special event rate on your room.

NOTE:  If you do not plan to stay at the Natchez Grand Hotel, please e-mail Larry at dulcimerican@gmail.com to discuss the additional registration fee necessary to cover your portion of the cost of the conference facility where the workshops will be taking place.
